im using an mix with muratic and nitric AR i all goes well i get a brown mud but when its rinced 4 times and a final time w/distilled water then dried it turned a green color all green how do i stop this

It's likely copper I chloride contamination, if it's light green colored.

To prevent it entirely start by removing the copper from the material before using any AR. 50/50 Nitric acid or hot HCl in a crockpot can do this for you. Depending on the source of your starting material there are other ways also.

To get the green color out follow the standard hot HCl washing techniques listed elsewhere on the forum. The wash solution will contain copper which can be recovered separately from the gold using scrap iron. Be sure to repeat the wash cycle until the wash acid no longer discolors. Follow up on the acid washes with a few water rinses.
