Arg oh my gosh well I just typed about 20 paragraphs and somehow it all got deleted I guess I was right to say in my last missing typed that this is going to be a long one....

Anyways I can probably shorten it up at least is what it got so far I kind of gave a brief introduction to how I got on this road which involved in this which is a friend and doing catalytic converter processing as we had about 9:10 catalytic converters from doing some van again swaps to TDI clean diesels...

It was really kind of fun I really like the science and being precise and stuff he was more throw all kinds of shit together and see what's happening still perfecting my work so on that route but it's not something that's going to be able to happen all the time the same way E-Waste is and I've been wanting to get into refining gold from e-waste for fun I even built a mobile lab it's going to be my handyman tool shop and mad scientist vibes the traveling refinery.... And today just so happens three huge big screen TVs thrown on the side of the road so here I am time to get my toes wet I'm going to have a lot of questions and post a lot of pictures...

My first set of questions is just into the processing of E-Waste I've seen various videos and no there's a bunch of different stuff and different parts you know there's the gold fingers obviously but then there's passengers and transistors and all kinds of little stuff I have no idea what it is and those can have different kinds of pgms so I am now in the process of separating them all. So glad I copied this third time's a charm all right compressed some videos I said some pictures.

As you'll see for this video I'm starting to separate all the different items into what I think is appropriate for my mission.
I have goldfingers and heavy parts of gold circuit boards capacitors giant weird copper things and aluminum heat sinks figure might as well save that kind of stuff as it can be used for cementing and is valuable is scrap... I then have some silver fingers which I'm not sure what they are I have heard of silver and electronics being silver or palladium or who knows these are the questions I need from you Masters and then have like weird brick and like round things that I hear could have pgms and then I have a bunch of the mini small like chips all in all I have seven different groups and you'll see from the video... I'm sure this won't be a lot of gold but compared to the one time I tried one cell phone just because I kind of fun although I felt like there wasn't much in that and spill the solution so.. this will probably be continued over a few posts I'm still separating and then got one more TV left I feel like he's big screen TVs are fine material...

So as opposed to post this video and that video was the second one oopsie as you can see I got some questions what's up with circuit boards are they only good for processing and then I can just drop them off at a E-Waste recycling storage bin I don't really see the point in melting them all down for just the copper which that's all they seem like once you take the components off I could be wrong that's why I'm here.
Also my plan for aqua regia since JSP was out of nitric is a hybrid version with the bleach and H2O2. Then I was thinking how should I do this do I start with the goldfingers which is the stuff in my beaker which is looking pretty good right now and I still got one more TV after I finish up some of the processing I'm doing now of the second one1000000268.jpg

I'm interested in hearing your thoughts how you would approach this workflow either like melting or grinding stuff up first together the big batch separately I'm personally leaning towards severally as some stuff has different materials that I want to recover such as I heard some of these things have pgms which I like to do separately and not mix with the gold recovery then I would also like to try different ways of precipitation from the SMB to maybe electrolysis maybe put some gold on some of my pendants anyways here's some more updates

My recommendation is to drop the videos and start reading. More details and more accuracy.
Then you can look at the videos with a new perspective and get some entertainment.

It's my videos... What kind of reading besides Hoke's book do you recommend trying to find out all the different stuff that's in these components before I even begin
