how do you strip CDs?

some where here on the forum ive read that Cd's contain a very small amount of silver but for the life of me i don't remember where that post is but if i recall they said that it was only about a nickel's worth on each one so unless you get them for free or very cheap i would not recommend stripping them.
 
I had a friend who's family owned a CD manufacturing company in Quebec. He said it was aluminium or Nickel/Vanadium and nothing else.

The data is scribed in the ploycarbonate all the metal is there for is reflection.
