I’m not even sure if I have this in the right forum. So I apologize in advance.

In regard to scrap jewelry, I know people refine for the gold, but I was curious do you also refine for the other metals in there?

For example, if a necklace had gold and silver, or you want to extract the copper.

Is that even possible? Is it worth of time?

I always recover any silver that may be there. It's a little bonus.

Copper usually ends up cemented with other waste in the iron stock pot, so I don't pursue it there, but if I'm dealing with copper rich material I may.

Gotcha, makes sense!

It makes sense because you may need some silver down the road for inquarting. It’s better to have some around, than having to buy it when you need it.
