Hello all , i will pay 95% for all refined Gold, same day service, wire transfer ,or check or paypal, whatever you prefer. i have a Xrf analyzer to test purities . Pm me if interested

Kevin

Do you pay before i ship or after you receive it? Don't take offense but nothing leaves my shop without payment in advance. That's probably going to be where your buying problem will arise. I can sell unrefined gold for 98% spot at least. Why would i want to sell refined gold for less than i can sell unrefined gold for?

My name is Kevin, i own three Gold buying and bullion selling businesses. I have been a PM buyers for many years and am in the process of expanding into refining Gold filled. I am located in central washington state.

Palladium : Yes the Gold would have to be shipped to my location until a relationship is built. Then partial Pre Payments would be arranged . Shipping would be refunded at time of settlement. you definitely can send your unrefined Gold off to a ntr type refinery but then your at the mercy of there assay . I have done business with NTR metals and other types of refineries and have had various degrees of reliability from them. You can send the exact same type of metal to two different Ntr offices and have two deferent assays come back. Pm me for my business info and contact info if interested. Im also buying Diamonds . Thanks Guys!

Hi Kevin! Welcome to the board!

I understand you are looking for business, but most here are well ahead of you when it comes to selecting a buyer for their refined metals. Those that need the connection already have established relationships, with better returns, than you are offering, certainly for refined gold. They would be more leery of doing business with you, and for lesser returns, than their chosen refinery. You are the unknown to them, not the refinery.

Palladium's point wasn't that he has to wade into unknown waters to get 98% for his unrefined metal, it was that he can get, at least 98% of spot without refining. For refined gold, which is the material you're looking for, he likely gets more. In fact, I don't know of anyone on this board who sells their refined material for only 95%. Heck, for many of the refiners here, if they just sent me a pic of their button on a scale, I'd agree to pay 95% of spot for the gross weight. And that's understanding that I wouldn't get three nines fine.

But I probably will never get that opportunity. Most who sell their refined metals here post a pic and invite offers and those offers are usually communicated privately. Your 95% of spot, for gold weight, is minimally attractive, and that is what Palladium was getting at.

I actually sell my refined gold and that of my customers for 97% spot for 995 or greater. BUT! Their is a reason for that like you have stated. That reason is the business relationship you speak of. My buyer buys everything i can supply him for 97%. He pays all insurance and postage related expenses and he keeps a substantial amount of liquid capital available at my disposal to pull from anytime i need liquidity in the market. As far as the gold filled...... It's good to learn how to refine gold filled but it is no easy task and from the business point of view you would be better off concentrating your time and energy on what you do best. When a refiner like myself only charges a flat 10% on gold filled and returns 995 gold as the product it is hard for you to justify the added expense and liability of taking on a new venture. Now if your doing very large quantities then it might be in your interest. To many variables to consider for me to give you an answer.

Thanks for the welcome!! i have been enjoying the forum tremendously!! I completely understand what you guys are talking about! forgive my ignorance for not knowing that most folks here are already in contact with refiners. I have over 20lbs of gold filled and i thought i would learn the process just for fun and to retrieve the gold. i have a question, there are no refineries within 200 miles of where i live, there are large cities with lots of pawn shops,we buy goldshops, jewelers, dentists, etc... would a refinery be a fit for this area? Im looking to expand my current biz to the next level.

Interesting, but you should note that when I refined, I sold my gold for 100% of spot, which was a bargain, as those who used it knew they'd have to pay over spot to duplicate what they bought from me.

You do realize that some of the buyers are paying 98% for karat scrap, don't you? (pay close attention to the word *some*)

Harold

Hello Harold, I do realize that but i have been hard pressed to find a refiner that pays a legitimate 98%. What part of washington are you from? im from the Yakima area

Other side of the mountain, just about four miles north of Highway 12, east of I-5.

It should be noted that the vast majority of major refineries aren't known for their honesty. I can relate tales (personal experiences) that would curl your brow.

One of the most valuable lessons I learned, early on in my refining, was to be honest with my customers. In spite of that, I lost about a half dozen of them over the years. If they *think* they've been screwed, there's not much you can do to prove otherwise.

Not trying to rock the boat but NTR pays me 98.5% for a check in 15 minutes on my numbers from my XRF. I am happy to pay 96% and make the 2 1/2 %. It really all boils down to your ability to analysis the gold. Not saying that NTR uses my numbers but we have a 99% agreement level. Between accurate SG's, good Induction Melting, 4th upgraded XRF you can really get pretty good numbers.

Peace and Happy Thanksgiving,
Dan

That is the key when you can analyze your own metals and they know you can, they have no choice but to pay you the 98% they advertise, i get 99% because of the volume i send in. sending in karat scrap is where you are at the mercy of what they tell you. Each ntr office other then there main offices(Dallas) just melt and use there xrf ,just like us. Each office also has there own managers and have to show profit for there branch. I used to have lots of problems with the seattle office until they recently changed manager and smelter, now its a smooth accurate process. In this buisness relationships is where its at, most of my customers come to me because we have built relationships and trust over years. They would rather come to someone they know and trust then take a chance on someone they dont.

Peace and God bless
