Has anyone ever heard of these two computers in the way of gold recovery? The headstart III by Venex is packed full of IC chips and I have not looked inside the IBM Thinkpad yet. Was just a little curious.

IBM Thinkpad covers such a wide array of laptop computers. If you could be a little more specific. Laptops in general are a pain in the butt and in my opinion; the amount of time required to take them apart vs. the yield makes them not really worth it. They will have memory and sure the mother/daughter board. Newer ones will have a modem and or a WLAN card. You can scrap 10 desktops in the amount of time it takes to scrap one laptop, and you don't have to worry about disposal of the lcd.
