What will iodine or iodized salt do in a silver nitrate solution?
Apparently it is very hard to find non-iodized/iodide salt in my country as the government banned it from being sold.
There are some sellers, but I'm not sure if they are reputable. How do you test the salt?
I used to use the Cl from AR solutions after dropping gold.
I think the silver is getting contaminated somehow somewhat or my washings was not done well as fumes are noticeable when melting the powder.
