Decant as much as you can. Try filtering th rest, it will be painfully slow.
then dry the filtered goo. Then roast in a steel pan over a fire using a gasmask to not breath the toxic fumes.
How much material are we talking about?
And how much sulfuric did you use of what strength? Sulfuric can not be boiled down safely to dryness.
sulfuric acid will create fumes when roasting so best way to avoid that is by filtering and rinsing imo. Again this will be slow and a plastic kitchen strainer with a big coffee filter would be my choice.
And did all the metal dissolve?
I got things mixed up. I had the case of zamistroe in my head when I replied to yoshu705. he probably has a totally different case. I don't see him mentioning a purple solution eighter.

My point was, if there is a lot of sulfuric in solution, it may give challenges or take a lot of potaasium nitrate to convert the sulfuric in nitric, which then would have to be boiled off into the air. Decanting rinsing and filtering could be more eviromentally friendly?

It was Zamistroe.
But the roasting details was to Jushu.
He specifically says he boil it in Sulfuric and Nitrate until all dissolved.
If there is Sulfuric left he will not be able to dry it completely
But if he add some extra Nitrate all the Sulfuric should be converted a to Nitric and it can then be dried completely.

This was not me or my material my friend. I was just chiming in to see what the process of roasting was to deal with the tin if I was to run across it.

Yes it is, not Tin metal but the dreaded Metastannic acid.
