Can people in this forum be a better help to people like me yes you can i do appreciate peoples responses but next time i ask for help can we do it with out all the moral storys and letting me know that im a silly rookie and what not ! Now i did explain my rookie situation i brought upon myself but most of the people that responded to my topic didnt even answer my question all i really just simply wanted was to know what would be the next step to processing my sludge and most of what i got was moral stories and people telling me how much of a rookie i am about the only person it seemed that attemted to answer my question was etack and thank you etack i would still appreciate it when you have time to tell what Cu is that you told me to throw in each of my containers Thank you come again !

This forum has very simple rules and the expectation that members try and school themselves so they understand what is been discussed, no one here is paid and any responses you get means someone cared enough to respond, we do not hold others hands here, you need to put in the effort to learn the chemistry at least including testing and the basic processes used, if you struggle to understand something ask and you will get help but we expect you to do your part and study.

Yes, we could provide better help and we do that for those that deserve it.

You have been a member for eight month, that's plenty of time to study and learn some basic facts. Blaming on being a visual learner and then just starting to throw scrap together and do some wild experimenting expecting, no, demanding, that we should drop everything and help you out of your self created problem is a bit disrespecting to everyone spending unpaid time to help people out on this forum.

If I see two people having problems and one have studied, tried to come up with the answer and obviously read the forum and Hoke so we speak the same language and the other one is totally oblivious of what to expect. Then I will give my time to help the one person that at least made an effort and use the same vocabulary.

If you haven't made more progress in eight months maybe this isn't something for you. Not everyone is cut out to do refining or working with acids.
You might think it's harsh but it isn't rose water we are handling. We have had members poisoning themselves while refining so mistakes can be deadly.

I know you will hate my answer but I'm not only writing to you, I'm also writing for every one just reading this thread, thinking about doing some wild experiments... and besides, this is about as much time I'm willing to spend on this thread.

Socialism has found it way into everything!
Entitlement is the new normal! Gold refining is now a basic human right!

Ok, Cu... https://letmegooglethat.com/?q=What+does+cu+mean+in+chemistry for a visual learner.

Watch the Fizzer cell guy! I have a video up on Youtube titled Fizzer cell that i use as a place holder til i post the video. Some of which has been shot and edited, some not. This guy, not sure who, bounced up on my video about a month ago and started giving me hell for not posting the video. I tried to explain to him that my only job wasn't as a Youtube blogger. Well i got schooled that i shouldn't promise people things if i'm not going to deliver and how it speaks volumes of my character, blah blah blah!

Now come Ralph that is sheer negligence on your part not to instantly post that video so that the nice man can copy it and become rich overnight  :D

The best help would be in the form of advice. Put your toys away until you have some knowledge on what you are doing. Don’t want to study? Don’t want to make notes? Think you can learn everything visually? Sorry, you are on the wrong forum. No one here is going to spoon feed you.

Trigger warning. I am a blunt an impolite individual who does not particularly care if I offend anyone. You made a mess, and no one can fix it but you. YOU do not have the knowledge base to even begin to do it right. Do what you are told and you might be able to salvage something from the mess you made. Demonstrate that you are willing to learn how to properly recover and refine precious metals and you will get help.

Read Hoke (Refining Precious Metal Wastes). Links to different formats can be found on some members signature lines. Read it again. Read it a third time. Over 70 year since first publication and it is still the best primer on refining precious metals.

Time for more coffee.

Surely we can learn better than the monkey's. Sure we can teach a monkey to do a few different processes to recover some gold, if we had a well trained monkey who could see and monkey do and get a treat, but we would have to have that monkey see what we do, I could train a monkey to pan for gold, or to dive underwater to dredge for gold.

But to teach a man who can only learn visually, on a forum based in written words, well that would be like a blind man attempting to teach another blind man, both would end up in a ditch.

If the only way you can learn is monkey see monkey do, well you need a job competing with monkeys.
If your goal is to learn a skill or craft, and understand it well then you need to also use your brain as well as your eyes, doing whatever work it takes to learn that skill.

Well sorry if you do not understand the words, it would be hard for me to explain this moral stories in pictures.

If you are serious about learning these skills you have all of the resources here at your finger tips, no one can plant those skills in your mind or muscles only you doing the work can do that.

We can suggest some places to begin.

Dealing with waste.
If you understood that you would have your answers, but seeing you do not understand how to deal with the toxic substances you have created foolishly, seeing You are not willing to study the important things we suggest or point you towards. How can we take it seriously that you are here to learn a skill and not just profit without heaving to do any work on your own expecting others to dig your gold nuggets for you?
How can we help you with any words or pictures?

If you are serious to learn this skill. it will not be easy.
Anything worth anything never comes easy.
You have to work for it.
Sacrifice yourself to learn it.
Gold anyway you look at it takes work and sacrifice, that is why it is considered a precious metal.
Big goals take big sacrifices.

Nobody can teach you this.
This is a skill, that takes understanding, something you will have to learn, or earn for yourself, gold is like that, it is not easy or it would not be worth anything. If anyone could learn these skills from a video there would be no value in it.
The more, the value you are after, the more work from you it requires, the bigger the prize the more you will have to sacrifice to be able to learn or do it or obtain it.

Hows that for preaching a moral stories instead of spending my time trying to help you profit. If I could show it to you in pictures I would, but all I have here is words.

if you are serious about learning then stop whining roll up your sleeves, get out the books, paper pencil, open your mind to the wonders you seek, work towards your goal using your mind, as well as your eyes, get off your butt and get busy getting gold and developing a skill worth the sacrifice.

If the gold is not worth going to that trouble for you, then maybe gold is not what you really want.

Don't put entitlement equal to socialism or conservatism. There are entitled people everywhere.

Not getting too deep into the political swamp, but isn't the forum really socialistic in it's ground? Think about it, everyone has the same access to information. Everything is shared without the need to pay for it. :D

There's a difference between sharing and Socialism. Socialism is not equal sharing. Socialism is unequal sharing. Equality of opportunity, not equality of outcome.

Per the underlined - you kind of answered that your self when you posted -----------

Yes, we could provide better help and we do that for those that deserve it.

True socialism makes the claim (&/or even dictates) that those at the bottom are "entitled" to - owed - by way of it's their right to that from those at the top

Here on the forum - those at the bottom have the "privilege" of receiving that which the the top has to provide --- & they do so when they "earn it"

I am under NO "mandate" to be the teacher of someone that "thinks" they are "entitled to my being their "personal" teacher

On the other hand - those that show they are willing to "earn" my respect as a teacher will get the "privilege" of receiving my personal teaching

Those that "think" they are entitled (& therefore demand) often find themselves cut off (get ignored) &/or even banned -- while on the other hand those willing to learn "get" (earn) the "privilege" of personal teaching

If someone is unable to open Google and type "Cu" then there's absolutely no chance of succeeding with refining.

EVER!!!
