A few months ago, I opened a topic in the forum seeking a method to remove palladium from palladium-copper wires without attacking the copper. I found it.

However, the method I currently use consumes a lot of reagents and emits many toxic gases. I would like to ask for your help in finding an alternative approach, and I am willing to share with you the method I currently use.

I can't remember the thread.
But why are you not posting this in the same thread for continuity?
Anyway is it a point that the Copper wire can be reused?

Hmmm - well - we can't really give you any suggestions on "alternatives" if we don't "first" know what your current method is :rolleyes:

So yes - please tell us about your current method --- & pics are always good

Melt the wire into a bar. This bar will, if your explanation is accurate, be a mixture of copper and palladium. If the copper content is above 90% this material which we can now call an anode is in the perfect form to serve in a copper sulfate electrolytic cell. The cell will produce electrolytically pure copper and in the anode bags will be a black mud of palladium copper slimes. This electrolytic process allows you to concentrate the Palladium into an easily purified end product.
