Hello everyone! New guy here. My wife has discovered the hobby of finding gold at garage sales, flee markets, etc., and she has ended up with some gold filled items. We are both engineers and are approaching retirement, so this is going to be a joint effort hobby. I’m building a fume hood, have ordered and recieved about 1/2 of the equipment to include 10L of nitric acid (NGL-bit scary). I plan to run my first attempt on gold filled in about 6 months (Apr 2025). I am studying CM Hokes book and this forum. Thanks everyone!

Welcome to the forum Dan. Glad to hear that you and your wife are doing this together. My wife helps me on her days off and she will be retiring later this year. We have a daughter in Georgia that lives near Hiawassee with her hubby and two kids. Great area for kayaking, hiking, shopping and sightseeing.

Stay Safe & keep us posted of your progress - Jeff.
