theres gold and Mcc's in most medical electronics, not sure if the palladium bareing mcc's. But my girl friend had a sugar attack "ate stuff she wasnt suppose to" and her blood glucose level whent to 478 so to the ER we whent. The blood o2 meter (disposable) had nice heavy gold plated pins on the plug. Looking at the IV contoller unit I could see pins and severl other gold connections. Also i took apart one of her old diabetic meters and it had gold fingers where the test strip makes contact and a few mcc's. last thing I did was a nonworking electronic thermometer gold and mcc's agine not much but some. I wanted that IV controller, sent an email to find out what they do with the broken ones

side note I wouldnt mess with any one elses blood meters for the fact my hands are always cut up and the meter could have blood on it. But unopened ones still in the box are fair game
