1g of Platinum per kg of catalyst is rather discouraging.
Today it is worth only $ 850 per oz.

So you need to work with ~35 kg of horrible mess to get $850 worth of Pt.
Good idea but IMO only for industry or in Third World setups where $850 is a lot of money.
