I think I may have gotten ahead of myself. I wanted to start as a hobbiest , and stumbled across this auction. Next thing I know I am the winning bidder. I have just begun to discover the knowledge on this site. Any advice would be great, thanks http://www.govliquidation.com/auction/view?auctionId=4211393&convertTo=USD

Lol, no I'm not that far over my head. So what do you think I should do with these? I didn't know they were considered to be like new and in excellent condition when I bid on them. Should I try to sell them as good parts or scrap? Those lcd screens are expensive, but do they have any value as is? Again the information on this site is a little overwelming, and I am a total newbie, so any help at all would be great.

These are quite vintage. The company that made them is located about 5 minutes from my house. These were the monitors for old military, monitoring or controlling computers. If you've ever seen an old compaq "all in one" computer, that is similar to how these were constructed. They were built as a case, and the front of the case folded down to reveal the monitor. The keyboard, complete with roller ball(early version of a mouse)was housed in the panel that folded down.
It's really ashame you could not get the rest of the components though, because they used 486 processors, ram,a scsi port, and even a built in modem. It could operate using AC or DC power and had built in heaters inside the case to keep it operating in below freezing temperatures. They also were available with either monochrome or color monitors.I don't know if there is a market for just the monitors but I am still looking.
Thats about all I have on them for now.
ADDED:
I was able to find someone that was looking for those exact parts

Mic, thank you for the info, you do great research. The picture you found is very interesting. Not at all what I expected. Please let me know if you find anything else out.
