Is there a way of just striping the gold pins on modern processors for examplt the pentium 4 have a non gold metal on top i just want the gold pins. want gold to make gold plate solution

The metal lid on Pentium 4 processors is some alloy of copper. It's affixed to the fiber substrate using an epoxy and comes off fairly readily if you work on it with a knife. Remove the lids and collect them in a container for use elsewhere, and then set to work on the processor itself. Saves a lot of time, and the value of the lid will be more than any gold you get off of these pieces of junk.
