Well hes not exactly local but he is along my way to work. hes not the best price for gold but when it come to silver he is hard to beat, I have sent my silver to all the different places that charge 10% of the finished silver until I met him. he charges a flat 1.00 per ounce. (100.00 minimum). when you refine 200-300 ounces thats alot of savings.

maybe he isn't right for you, maybe he is. but He's a straight honest man, you decide for yourself, he has saved me enough money that he deserves a comment from me and maybe some of you are looking for a place to refine some silver and this might be a deal for you.

His name is Bob, and he runs a small company called Rapid Precious metals in rapid city south dakota. he has a website.

BTW... he says he refines with clorine gas ? anyone every heard of this type of refining ?

Only for gold. It is a well known method for extracting gold from ores, and for purification of gold bullion (Miller chlorine process). He's most likely not telling you a great deal about how he refines. Most refiners don't. Why should they? If they did, many would refine their own materials. It's that easy when you understand the process.
