I'm a retired pipefitter always looking for interesting hobbies to persue. I do woodturning, chainsaw carving and metal casting. Mostly aluminum. In my younger years I worked in a plating shop and this forum got my interest.
My wife has heard about these Gold Parties that people are going to and I told her that there are a lot of middlemen that are making money from your jewelry. Why not go to the refiner yourself and not share your profits. Does anyone know of an honest refiner that is willing to take on a small amount of jewelry somewhere close to Virginia. I am also open for any advice anyone can give me. Tommie
