Hello all! I'm mainly starting to refine metals from electronics, though I'm also looking into tiny deposits which I believe can be found in several locations in north NJ where magma sills invaded metamorphic and igneous rocks eons ago.

I have some basic skills with chemistry, but I will certainly need advice for more intricate reactions beyond simple acid/base, oxidation/reduction, and displacement reactions.

Try doing the experiments in Hoke's book. Her book will help you understand the reactions of metals, as well as the basic principles of recovery and of refining.
