In the USA, we have to pay for protection also. The government sees to it that you do not pollute any water, pay for mining"permits", have legal access, basically every aspect of legal obligations are fulfilled. Which you pay dearly to obtain. Once you start producing, again the government wants you to pay for more "protection", in the form of taxes. They call it a production tax. Once you have written off your expenses, then you are taxed again on income taxes, if you make any profit. Only certainties in life are death and taxes. Who are the scammers?

and like in many other countries
You have Law that protecting You

I have a deep respect for all miners around the world.

But we know the deep damage that Scammers was and are doing to Diamond and gold mining in and out of Africa.

Scammer are plaguing almost every aspect

The Taxes in all Latin america is way higher than in USA

but is in a different way
many of those government
are making sure
that peoples get poorer everyday
because poor peoples vote it for them

(those are the higher taxes,because You never know that You are paying it)
and that is the sad part of the history.

in others countries
if your mine claim is producing
soon or later You will have an unwelcome visit
from locals gang
or mafia
then You have to pay “piso”

if You don’t pay,they will make you to be sure
that You don’t get behind in the payment of “piso”
What they do or will do,use your imagination.

but is happen in many where law is so corrupted
that there is no law.
