Hello to all, and thanks for taking the time to read and help me with my post.
I'm just starting out and am focused on gold refining from old electronics (not just old computers) I have found gold plating in digital scales, in calculators, and of course in cell phones.
I'm here looking for help on the refining process, I've tried to find out and learn from videos on YouTube (what a joke) and reading on the net but something is always left out and my question are left unanswered. So with that I would like some help the process, tools need, chemicals need, the whole 9. It would be greatly appreciated thank you and have a good day.

Well you have found the only place where nothing is left out, the bad news is this is a self help forum. Your best start would be to take the guided tour, down load and read C.M.Hoke and also the forum handbooks and do some very essential learning. There is also a search function top right of your screen which will lead to most topics that are of interest to you and all the processes we use.
We will help but expect you to do your part and get up to speed on the terminology and processes and understand this is a massive subject and most of us are still learning.
Good luck and welcome to the forum.

It would be a sad thing to be standing next to a rich gold mine, and for you not to get a light and explore it.

By doing as nickvc, suggests, you will be exploring a gold mine of information, that would be missed if you did not explore it.

You would miss so much by standing outside and just asking a couple of questions, (you would never see the whole answer to what treasure was inside).

Welcome to the forum Hope you find that treasure.
