Hello everyone and thanks for letting me in with u guys I luv to learn new things about gold refining I'm want to ask how to use bleach and acid to get gold to leach from some gold ore that I have, I have tried this in the past and got all the way to the dropping gold with SMB and it appeared I had done it I had brown mud but when I went to melt it it turned out to be nothing so I could not figure this out everything looked perfect then boom I heard that apparently u can have a false positive for gold is this correct?

Regarding your advice on not using bleach and acid on ores, I completely agree. Safety is paramount, and I understand the dangers of such a combination. As for the type of acid, I used Martic Acid, However, I'm aware that it's not suitable for all types of ores.
I don't currently have an assay, but I understand its importance in determining the composition of the ore. I'll look into getting one done.
