hi, guys, i have some muriatic acid from a radiator shop, (strong) it looks like it is eating my gold fingers in ap 4 to 1, I did add a little water. This is my first batch, a small batch of 500ml. is this a problem. :roll:

hi, just 2 fingers, also 1 plate from a mmx intel, and the finger gold is the same color but half the gold is missing, the plate turned a pink/red, and some of the gold is starting to flake of, this does not look like pure gold. cause it changed color and is rough to the touch, but it gets shiny again when scraped with a knife.

Way way way too much solution. Just cover the fingers with solution. Otherwise you dissolve gold.

A petri dish would be enough to strip a few fingers.

KEEP OUT all steel and aluminum :shock:

are you saying the mmx plate is not gold plated.

ok, so now what is a good way to get this dissolved gold out of solution.( i will do more fingers and boards with this solution.)Thanks for your reply Rag and Bone.

Save the solution (with the gold in it) and strip a respectable quantity of fingers with it. It all comes out in the wash'
