Lol everybody. Pretty new at refining but been extracting gold pieces from computer wastewaste for years with AP solution. Been reading a lot learning a lot. My first attempt at trying to refine some of the gold that I had extracted didn't turn out so well. I'll read through a lot of the other stuff and take another attempt at it this weekend. Not expecting it I get a super amount. Probably in the gram or less area but it's just some cool and interesting

Welcome to us.
Explain how you tried to refine it please.

Here are some links for further studies:

1. Read C.M. Hokes book on refining jewelers scrap, it gives an easy introduction to the most important chemistry regarding refining.
It is free here on the forum: https://goldrefiningforum.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=19798
2. Then read the safety section of the forum: https://goldrefiningforum.com/forums/safety.47/
3. And then read about "Dealing with waste" in the forum: https://goldrefiningforum.com/threads/dealing-with-waste.10539/

Did you weigh it before dissolving?

I have not abandoned ship on you guys! Currently I put the chemicals away and doing some more reading and studying of this form and currently waiting on my book which is due to be delivered between October 30th and November 2nd. Once I get through studying and more reading I will put a plan of how I intend to find the gold that I dissolve.
