Your photo appears to be of SMD ferrite beads to me, not of thermistors. Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) thermistors typically have some sort of pigtail lead on them so they can be mounted to a surface who's temperature is to be monitored. I've never seen a SMD version board mounted thermistor, but there is a first time for everything.
