Oxalic acid as gold precipitant

After gathering alot of information (especially from this forum) on the most common processes,
and trying some techniques on smaller amounts - I'm now confident enough to go for much larger batches...

However I'm a bit curious as to any difference in quality using oxalic acid vs. SMB as precipitant.
The results are a bit different...
With SMB the precipitant is brown and powdery, but with oxalic acid the consistency is like rock wool and has a golden yellow color.

To the left is the oxalic acid piece.
