I've been doing a lot more reading lately but have been unable to find any data on PMs in Microwave oven Microtrons. I have a vague recollection of reading somewhere that there is some PMs in these components. Dose anyone know anything about this? Do you have photos or a link to information?

Thanks
Gary

I have looked into this too.
In the inside of the magnatron the copper is several different colours & that'd probably indicate silver or gold.

However I'm now sure theres only copper except for the stainless steel ends & part of the two hard wires inside the magnatron.
On one of those wires theres a small cylindrical part that is Tungsten.

Thats about it, sorry. I have about 60 & wish I could get more than the 50cents of copper that they contain.

The fact that there is Beryllium in them means they aren't worth messing with.
