Someone who wants to use those as servers (versus someone who wants to scrap them) will pay 50x or more what you should be willing to pay.

was thinking about purchaseing and reselling on ebay, if they dont sell after a few months, then strip them

Agreed those will be expensive there still in workin order lot of risk involved in trying to flip them and youll pay way to much to just scrap them

Let's look at this list shall we?

SuperMicro 1U server, (unknown specs/age but given all others listed I would assume obsolete, $5/$10 offer)
Proliant 1850R, (very obsolete, not worth anything as a server anymore I'd offer $5... $10 at most for it)
2 PowerEdge 2650's, (obsolete, $5/$10 offer)
2 PowerEdge 2850's, (obsolete, $5/$10 offer)
Proliant DL360 G3, (obsolete, $5/$10 offer)
PowerVault 745N, (obsolete, $5/$10 offer)
PowerEdge 1750, (obsolete, $5/$10 offer)
2 PowerEdge 1850's, (obsolete, $5/$10 offer)
IBM x345, (obsolete, $5/$10 offer)
2 Proliant DL560, (obsolete, $5/$10 offer)
Proliant DL380 G3, (obsolete, $5/$10 offer)
Proliant DL380 G4, (obsolete, $5/$10 offer)
Proliant DL585, (obsolete, $5/$10 offer)
PowerEdge 6650, (obsolete, $5/$10 offer)
PowerVault 220S, (obsolete, $5/$10 offer)
Poweredge 2500, (obsolete, $5/$10 offer)
PowerEdge 2600. (obsolete, $5/$10 offer)

That said I seriously doubt he would take these offers on any of them except the 1850R and maybe the G3's but I doubt it, he doesn't strike me as the type that understands the concept of obsolete equipment and is probably wanting to get as much as possible for them, which is understandable, but still rather naive

Keep in mind these are my views but at work we have like 10 or so DL380 G4 and G5 models that we're retiring as they are at least 7 years old now along witha bunch of PE2950's and PE2970's that are around 7 years old as well... by this point each of those models we're retiring are on their last leg and can't run with any production value just for some reference. Put simply they cost more to maintain at this point than they're worth.

One nice thing about being a scrapper/e-waste recycler and Systems Engineer for the place I work for is that I get them all very soon for free  I'll probably take the best of the best of the G5's and ebay them but I only expect around $500 to $750 for those same for the newer 2950/70's but everything else is going to just get scrapped.

Just remember free > paid for
