Does anyone know what metals I would find in Allen-bradly photoswitchs? I have a few hundred pounds of them. I can see gold plating on the pins and some palladium in the capacitors and the eye itself appears to be gold but I'm certain that its plated. I can't see what's in the bottom or on the back of the board because it is filled with black apoxy of some kind. Any help would be great and also any data sheets that would give me metal content would be appreciated. Thank You

I was given a few pounds of the made by Turck and I couldn't see anything to do with them but cut the wire and throw them in shred. It will take a lot of fire to render any gain with those.

If amoung this you have working pieces...try to sell them...is far way more money....
They are laser type...and IR type...in laser emitting diode and receiver is gold(small quantity...few mg).....and yes they have smd capacitors with Pd-Ag alloy...and tantalum capacitors..
Hard to get those PM out because they contain so little of those and the coatting(epoxi resin)......so ...my advice is that working pieces should be sold for the money...the rest....sell to a refiner.
