Processing gold ore

I have a couple tons of rich gold ore. I've been selling it on ebay and customers are very happy. Their reporting a quarter gram per pound. Now I'm concerned I'm riping myself off lol. The results their getting are in the area of 500g/t. Which is ridiculously high. So I'm not sure what's going on. I know it's authentic gold ore but do those numbers make any sense at all. I'm an armature and could really use some guidance.

If you have been selling some, you have probably collected enough $ for a proper assay. Properly collect a couple of samples and send them off for fire or ICP analysis (preferred methods). Results will give you information as to the most lucrative ways to proceed.
