Is anyone processed the ram with silver colored fingers, or is it silver at all? should i just throw it in with something else when i get to that stage, i tried searching for info on it but nothing came up. thanks tim

i do the chips with the rest of my ram. on memory sticks, about 2/3 of the gold is in the chips anyway.
Thump rule:
A.) Silver as a contact material is beeing used where high amounts(amps) of energy is tranferred (switches,relays etc)
B.) Gold as a contact material is beeing used where data is transferred with high speed or very high amounts of energy.
Both is not the case with old RAM modules. That is why both cantacting materials are not used.
