Black hills gold is nothing more than a design theme, tri color grape leaves. It has been popular for many years and the style has been produced in both karat gold and cheap plate.

The watch in your photo, original price of $230 leads me to believe it is only plated.

I have received many Black Hills Gold watches in lots that I've purchased on eBay. Only the tiny leaves on the dial are gold. They are worth buying only if they happen to be in a lot with other watches containing pm's.
