Not only can it be, but it should be. I've commented on that endlessly.

Once the values have been extracted, an incineration, then a boil in dilute nitric would work wonders.

Harold what time and temp for incineration and is this to burn out sludge from the mask from the boards and CPU or other crud. May seem like a simple question but I like to document each part of the process and why, thanks Wyndham
