So what’s the next step , I took some and mixed vinegar and hydrogen peroxide to try a new method without the nitric acid.
Drop the Vinegar and go for HCl directly, cheaper, faster and less waste created.
Usually we cut the PCBs tight and run it in AP aka Copper Chloride leach.

Yes please dont use vinegar it isn’t safer or less polluting than proper acids.
Many seem to think that household products must be safer but I can create some fairly deadly solutions and fumes from stuff you can buy at the supermarket.

It also creates larger volumes of toxic waste to deal with. The stuff cannot just be poured down the drain.

Ok so at this point I have this gold flakes and wondering if they can be melted into a bar
Of course, but they will be lowish purity and you will need more than you believe.
Best is to dissolve it and refine it and then melt it into button/bar.

Of course you can melt it into a bar but it has only been recovered at this point but it is not pure gold.
There's several routes to go as far as refining it but the easiest way for you if you are not experienced with aqua regia would be hydrochloric acid and bleach.
You can search the forum for the detailed step by step instructions.
New to refining people tend to over use nitric acid when using aqua regia and have a difficult time getting their gold to precipitate.

The way I do the hydrochloric acid/bleach method is along these lines:
Put your well washed gold flakes in a beaker and cover with roughly twice the volume of hydrochloric acid, it helps to do this with heat but can be done cold, you will put in your bleach a few drops at a time until the gold flakes are dissolved and continue to heat for a while to get rid of excess chlorine.
Then you will need to filter solution until it's clear( no cloudiness)
Then you can precipitate the gold with smb.
You should have your chemicals on hand before you start the process and more importantly study the post's on this forum that you will find in the search bar, search for hcl/bleach method, write out all of the steps you will take for this process and if you have any questions about it post your plans and you will be helped to make sure that what your steps are will work.
If you are going to be using chemicals use the proper ppe and proper beakers always helps.

Sound advice. Working with bleach and HCl is just so much easier than vinegar, and much less likely to encounter problems.

Any force you do on the fingers with a say screwdriver will probably scrap some off it as dust. That method requieres so much work.
