The burned "dust" is a combination of gold powder and the abrasive that was in the rouge polishing compound. That abrasive also has metal oxides in it.

Hence the excess base metals.

Can you please tell me how to boil in HCl the 'dust', I mean how much HCl should i use for 100g of dust and if i have to use dilute or concentrated HCl?

After boiling process all the base metal normally should be dissolved except gold and silver (that now is in the form of AgCl) am i right? 

I'll be very thankful if someone tell me the whole process step by step
