Refinery

Anyone know a refinery that would process the PGM metals and give me back the metals or pay an appropriate amount for them? I have about 15 LBs in powder of every precious metals combined (with some impurities including 5 LBs of copper) I’m looking for somewhere local but none of them process every PGM or want half the value that’s in it.

Do you have an assay of the material listing all of the components? Hopefully a little more than an XRF.

I melted about 10 grams down and had a spectrogram done at the refinery I usually go to and it was 15% silver 8% palladium 5% gold 5% ruthenium 3% rhenium 3% platinum 3% iridium 1% rhodium .1% os the rest was impurities. Copper and vanadium was the majority of it but there was small amounts of rare earth metals.

First off, are you doing this as an individual or a corporation? Larger refineries that may do the oddball metals other than Gold Silver Platinum Palladium and possibly Iridium will not deal with an individual. And low concentrations of some of the more difficult to refine metals are not even payable after minimum deductions. I would be hoping @Lou will see this as he deals with some of the odd ball metals mentioned.

I have a company. It’s 20 LBs total weight. If all the % hold true there’s something like 100k+ in precious metals in it. I’ve called all over the state I live in. None of them want to deal with the ruthenium or iridium. Most of them won’t go past platinum and palladium.
