I have acquired a quantity of gold solder wire. (New)
I understand it is 6% to 8% gold content.
Has anybody had experience refining this type of material?
This solder was used by an optoelectronics manufacturer and is described as a "semiconductor grade gold solder".

Thanks for your input!

Depends what's in it--the material can be somewhat intractable.

If it is new material, my best advice to you is to sell it as new material to someone who needs it and is used to paying top dollar for the solder.

Or try ebay and list its specifications.
