Rolled Gold Plate and Gold Filled, Even worth messing with?

Have a box full of RGP and GF watches, glasses, etc. Has anybody ever messed with the stuff/worth messing with?

Not a good idea with eyeglass frames.

When reflecting on my early years of refining, it was clear to me that eyeglasses were the source of roughly 75% of the first 80 ounces of gold I accumulated. Do not dismiss gold filled items.

Gold filled is one of my favorite types of scrap to refine. It is easy to work with and the yields are better than most types of escrap.

I sort my gold filled scrap (eyeglass frames, pocket watches, jewelry, etc.) before processing so I get a better idea of the yields for each group of gold filled item.
