This Rolm Phone system I just acquired is the gift that keeps on giving .. Here is 130 lbs so far .. haven't even gotten to the backplanes yet .. not to mention the burly transformers.

I'm thinking there is a fair amount of Tantalum caps that I may snip ..

Super clean boards ..

I'm wondering what those flanges were used for in regards to a phone system? Or maybe they were unrelated but just thrown in? They kind of remind me of the (much smaller diameter) vibration eliminators we used to braze onto the lines coming off of larger compressors when I used to do refrigeration work. For smaller compressors we'd sometimes just make vibration loops of annealed copper tubing.

Those look like the high pressure variety.

Hi .. those SS pieces were just to hold up the boards for the picture. Not related to the Rolm piece. Glad you noticed though. :)
