What is the best price to purchase one pound of these computer couplings each have 31 legs with gold contents how much gold yield expected in a one pound weigh? Although this weight include the plastic,

Very hard question. If I were you I will only pay percentage of expected yield of say mid grade pins but some math needs to be done too and dismantle at least one unit to find out weight of plastic.
That percentage must cover your profit and error margin which may occur with identifying grade of plating. Your picture is too small and appears to be taken by phone camera with not good detail and colours.

I am kinda lost and would say that they are not coupling but pins. Dont know exactly - Ill be happy to be educated on this one.

kamranashraf hello,

I think that ebay is not the best place from where you can buy the electronics for recover/refining precious metals, I mean in the way to obtain some profit.
However, if those connectors are Russian, you can calculate a maximum of 1mg/1pin or 31 mg/1connector.

teclu you are right and i am agree with you, actually i have about 20kg this type of pins when i see on ebay the seller is earning good profit so i am thinking to sell them on ebay because the gold yielding may very low, also is here any body have some kind of idea some sellers gold scrap have bids more than the value of the gold of their item, it is strange how is possible to buy a 14 karat gold scrap and when you calculate you found the buyer is paying more money than the gold what is the big secret ?i wonder if any one solve this mystery....

It is uneducated greed.

kamranashraf hello,

If the 20 kg of pins are from same type of connectors then is not a big problem, but if the pins are mixed and from different types of connectors then it will be difficult to sell as they are, for a fair price. For the future, if you do not want to process them (recover-refining), I allow to suggest you do not mix the pins, keep the connectors sorted /type and in their plastic, in this way an estimate can be more fair and transparent for both: buyer and seller.

And the price they pay does not even include shipping!

I watched eBay gold especially a guy in Florida "Wal-nutty" he was selling huge lots every day. Every lot went over spot and the shipping was huge. I just could not believe the prices being paid.

I would think the people were buying on speculation. It appears they were right as gold was high 700's.
