Hi team,

I got this email the other day, What would you guys pay?
I offered him .25cents a pound and he seems to be ok with that, Did I over pay?

i've been a dish installer for 10-12 years and have about 80-90 old 301/311 receivers, a dozen or so 501/508/510 receivers, 10-15 old 2400 recievers, a couple 925's, and some miscelanious direct tv stuff and one remote for each receiver. They're all old stuff I removed to update customer accounts. they were all owned receivers so there is no lease or other issue. overall there is probably 300 pounds?

That's what they pay for irony Al here so you wont loose any money. The gold for me is not worth the time with all those screws though.

what kind of quality of boards are in them? I was thinking I could get at least .75cents a pound on the boards, and recycle the tin and that should put me ahead. Not including if some have cpu's or hard drives, heatsinks, and copper wire right.

You are talking about the inside part. OK

some buyers will give you MB if you cut the metal junk off and other wont ask first but you should get more than .75# for the boards.

I called Zack yesterday and he shot me a good price! How do board refiners perfer the contidtion of the board? Should I copmletely strip the board, Or how do I get the most money per motherboard. Exp. take off flatpacks, fingers, pins capaciters ect and sell the all seperate or just cherry pick the board?

You just want to remove any steel brackets and batteries if you are selling boards. If you start pulling other parts off like fingers and flatpacks, then that will be a factor with the price.

I just don't want to cheat the buyer but at the same time I don't want to cheat myself. I have about 30 boards right now and I took the cpu, sticks, cards and I also took off the green chips with the gold corners is that ok? What do you guys do with your boards?

As far as chips go - you should only pull those that are in sockets.

If you have removed the gold corner North/South bridge chips you have devalued the board and, if discovered, you'll get less than full price.

If not discovered and you get full price you have cheated your buyer.
