After trying the AP method( it being the cheapest, and me, being a single father), I've wound up with yellow and copper colored buttons. None of which pass the standard 14kt acid test local buyers use. Occasionally I get lucky and get one buy the 10kt test but everyone wants 14kt or higher. Without that the closest I've gotten is the offer of doing a refining lot for 20% of the recovered PM's. I get black sand, rinse w/ distilled water twice, once w/ 1 part amonia/3 parts water, then mix equal parts sand with equal borax, then melt it on some terra cotta with a propane torch. I dont have my own computer so very limited access to info. Add in the kids and job, time is scarce as well. Anyone have any tips how I may be able to turn my rampid gold fever into a free trip to the zoo while the kids are still kids. thanks, joe
