I picked up a bracelet that has thin strips of 14K soldered/attached to thick stainless steel links. The bracelet is stamped S. STEEL 14K and has a maker's mark. Is it possible to fairly easily remove the gold strips from the stainless using heat? I have a MAPP gas torch and an Oxy/Acetylene torch as well but prefer the Mapp over digging out my Oxy/Acetylene rig. I'm not currently setup to refine. Pics attached.
Thanks!

Use the Mapp gas. I worked on some similar stuff a while back and pryed the gold pieces off with a sharp wood chisel. That took some effort. Heat would have been much quicker and simpler.
