I know that we should be seperating different types of materials. I.E fingers from pins etc. But do you also need to seperate different types of plated pins? What I mean is do you seperate gold plated pins from memory slots of a MOBO from pins from PCI slots.
 
That may be ideal but often not possible unless you do bigger amounts of the same material. I separate them to ones which are fully plated and ones which are partially plated on tip or on small part of pin. Then this two categories by size - very small and bigger. Then when I will want process I will separate them further to magnetic and non or only slightly magnetic.
A lot of boxes and jars. :lol:
