SHOR gold and silver refiner machine

Hi everyone,
I am looking to refine old jewelery from multiple karat to 99.5% pure I found a site that says it can be done with there machine and salts it is sold by a company called shore international corporation. Is this a simple method or should I look into other means if so any suggestions.
