dear members .. wanted to share some close up pictures of what appears to be a silver plated glob of metals surrounding a brass component.

this was from a 40s / 50s vintage power room in the foundry i cleaned out. i smashed the brown ceramic housing to release the pieces.

any knowledge on yield or processing for members is appreciated . i'm totally willing to send these to silver expert for yield analysis for future reference.

Take the flame from a match to it. If it melts then it's not silver.
Silver was only used in the contacts.
