i have small telecom boards with some gold plating and, what i think is 2 small round black chips (which looks like the black resin that covers the north-south bridge chips---i do not have fotos ---but i have identifiction

powertip

they weight around 13grams each

question: are those small roundblack chips ----chips?if they are ,there might be a lot of gold nano wires inside it-- thanks and regards

Hi Arthur , yes the small blobs have lots of gold wire under them / in them. You can fry them ( like in the patnor methode ) and get the gold out

Squarecoinman, yes, the black blobs are exactly the one described in the link----the only diference is that the boards have gold plating and almost no components on it---the only components are the 2 black blobs and 7smds--writen besides them -r1,r2------r6------recently i read that these resistors have ag and pd in them------
thanks for the informations
Arthur
Solar plexus, i depopulate these boards as i do with cellphone boards----scrap the boards after heating them-----Is tyring(tired) but the boards becomes clean and ready for gold deplating-------
thanks and regards

i use a torch and heat up the resin for 1 second then hit it with a 3 pound hand held sledge hammer. then I step away from it until the fumes from the resin disipate, AS THEY ARE TOXIC... I then collect the crushed rehardened resin pieces and put them in AP with the exposed 'chip' board. BEWARE! many boards that have these black resined 'chips' arent gold, but Ag-Sn-Cu alloys which look like gold. the cap and circuitry still has gold however, just compare the board to true gold, to see if it's silver instead.
