SMB Question

Ok I know this is a stupid question but I have to ask. When buying SMB at the chem supply store, what amount do I ask for? I'd rather ask here where nobody knows who I am than at the chem store. LOL Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

That depends on how much refining you plan on doing.
1 lb. should last you a while and should cost about $5.
I bought 5 lbs from a home brewery/wine supply for $20.

You need about 1-2 times as much SMB as gold that you want to precipitate. I just went to a bigger grocery store that has a wine/beer making section and picked up a couple bags there.
