Hey pulled about 8 of these things out of a Old CAD machine. Just wondering if anyone have ever came across these. They were connected to to some really heavy ceramic processors.

Hey thanks, the black part is a really hard plastic. I took all the gold colored contents out and it weighed up to be 4 grams. I will try testing for PM's

They look like the connector between the board and the proc in a Sun SPARC processor. Could be a either a Super or Ultra. Do you have a picture of the actual Processor chips?

I do not have a picture of the chip. There were indeed between the board and the chip. The chip was a heavy white ceramic chip. That is why i was curious as to if maybe it was gold. The contacts on the chip were as was on the board, so i thought possible this too.

If you still have any of the ceramic chips you might want to post a picture of it, it was mentioned in one of the threads of some white CPU's that were collectors items.

Yes but not these he had. The ones he had were BGA type chips. The collectable ones were like E-proms.
