1st photo looks to be some sort of printed circuit buss bar, and the last two are either ZIF sockets or parts of ZIF sockets. The ZIF sockets generally have either tin or gold plating on the contact point(pin).

Cheers,

Yup, those are zero-insertion-force EPROM sockets, or perhaps the top header from same. The interior contacts may be gold-plated or they may be phosphor-bronze or some other non-valuable alloy.

Good old ZIF sockets, used for test-running DIP ICs in the old days. I had a bunch of them the other day also from the 1990s. They were gold plated. But the yield was rather low. Unscrew them and all that is inside will fall apart. Use AP and dissolve the base material. gold will come off as a fragile thin film not like the goldfingers.

i thought eprom sockets were black, ive never seen them brown before

They can be different colors. The socket on my programmer is blue. 8)

Since they are new perhaps they would have more value if you re-sold them.

yeah i hate to break them up just for a little flake gold. i would rather sell them, and ive got a bunch of both. any suggestions on price.

I'd take a look at completed auctions on eBay, and start there. ZIF sockets still have a market, and are still being manufactured.

Three years ago, I'd have made an offer, but have plenty of ZIF sockets for my needs now.

Cheers,
