I have lead mixed with gold. I usually skim it off the top of the solder fountain during cleaning. I save the skimmed part and it is fairly gold in appearance. The gold comes from electronic parts being stripped of it's gold. Over time I have a decent amount to consider separating. Just need some advice on what is best method.

I don't think the top layer that you've skimmed is rich in gold (despite the appearance). Anyway, cupellation would be my weapon of choice when it comes to parting lead and PMs.

if i recall correctly, add aluminum powder, mix really well, then skim off the dross. the dross will collect the gold.
